Teaching your child to do something educational can sometimes be (well, let’s be honest) a pain and often very difficult. So it’s nice to come across something that makes it fun.
I came across The Little Stamp Company (www.littlestamp.com) and was eager to order my fun stamp. What you receive is a signature stamp. And it is just that. A stamp with your child’s name written out in dots which gives them the opportunity to trace out their name and become familiar with it. It is offered in a large dot font, which makes it very child friendly.
You are given choices of upper or lower case, ink color and what name you would like on it. So I tested it out on my son who is just starting to show interest in writing. He had a blast with the stamp. He has become familiar with his name and was excited to see it stamped out. Than he spent over half an hour (which in parent time seems like an eternity) tracing out the letters of his name. It’s a win-win situation for everyone. This stamp would also make a fantastic birthday gift – I’ve never seen anything like this out there. And I’m out there!
Take a look at their website (www.littlestamp.com). Not only is the owner of the company a mom, Lee-Ann is also a teacher so this product has been well thought out and is extremely efficient is helping along the process of helping your child learn to print.
